Sales Operations Intern – Data & Insights

Job Summary

The Sales Operations Intern will support the Sales Operations and Insights team by assisting with data management, reporting, and process improvement projects. This role is ideal for a college student interested in sales operations, business analytics, or the medical device industry. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with CRM tools, sales data, dashboards, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

CRM Support:

  • Assist with updating and maintaining data accuracy in Salesforce.
  • Help validate information across reporting systems to ensure consistency.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Support routine data pulls and basic analysis to help track sales performance.
  • Help build or update dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or CRM Analytics (Salesforce).
  • Organize and prepare weekly or monthly reporting packets for team use.

Sales Process Support:

  • Help document existing sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with organizing templates, forms, and process documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with sales, marketing, and IT stakeholders to gather reporting needs or data requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative projects.

Training & Enablement Support:

  • Help create or update training materials related to reporting tools or CRM best practices.
  • Support internal communication around new dashboards, tools, or processes.

Content & Meeting Support:

  • Assist in preparing slide decks, reports, and other materials for sales meetings.
  • Help ensure documents are accurate, visually clear, and organized.

Territory Alignment Assistance:

  • Provide administrative support to maintain territory alignment documentation and routing updates.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Skills & Interests:

  • Interest in sales operations, business analytics, or data-driven decision-making.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel (sorting, filtering, simple formulas, lookups / matches, pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or data visualization tools is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Ability to work well on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Interns are expected to work onsite at the Palo Alto office five days a week throughout the 12‑ week internship period.

Salary Range: $20/ Hr- $25/Hr

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

Certain field-based roles at Recor Medical require work in environments where radiation sources (e.g., x-ray equipment) are in use. Employees in these roles will be issued a personal dosimetry badge to monitor occupational exposure and are required to wear it in accordance with company policy and applicable regulatory standards. This program is designed to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to maintain radiation exposure at levels that are As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). Additional guidance and protective equipment, as necessary, will be provided as part of onboarding and ongoing safety training.
