- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and the company’s objectives.
- Analyze sales figures, customers reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
- Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products as per the planogram.
- Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory
- Forecast profits/sales and plan budget
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs, etc.
- Remain up to date with the industry’s best practice
- Accurately calculate discounts and special offers
- Stay up to date on all promotions and special offers
- Coordinate with the logistics to ensure stock availability is maintained.
- Work with supermarket staff to enhance product visibility, including shelving and display areas.
- Maintain the visual appearance of the store.
- Assist in placing orders and monitoring fast-moving items.
- Support in-store activities and assist in operational tasks as directed.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the management.
