and around the world. We are seeking a performance-driven Business Analyst to unlock the

full potential of our advertising revenue streams across web and mobile platforms.


Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Media Sales Planner to act as a key strategic partner to our Ad Sales

and Business teams. This role is responsible for crafting compelling media sales packages,

optimizing existing ones, and driving value for advertisers by showcasing Cricbuzz’s unique

strengths and marketing opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Package Development:

o Conceptualize and create innovative, tailor-made sales packages that align

with advertiser objectives and Cricbuzz’s reach, distribution and content

offerings.

o Collaborate with the sales team to develop proactive proposals, seasonal

sponsorships, and event-driven media plans.


Sales Enablement:

o Equip the sales team with effective sales decks, traffic data, product demos,

audience insights, and ROI-focused marketing narratives.

o Customize media plans based on verticals (e.g., BFSI, Auto, FMCG) and

campaign KPIs.


Campaign Optimization & Insights:

o Analyze performance of live and past campaigns to identify optimization

opportunities.

o Work closely with the Ad Ops team to translate post-campaign learnings into

improved planning.


Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Liaise with the Business team to stay aligned on inventory, pricing, and

demand forecasts.

o Partner with the Product team to incorporate new ad formats and product

innovations into sales packages.

o Interface with Ad Ops for feasibility checks and smooth campaign execution.


Market Research & Competitor Benchmarking:

o Stay updated on sports media trends and competitor offerings.

o Benchmark packages against market standards to ensure Cricbuzz remains a

top-of-mind media choice for brands.


What We are Looking For

  • 3–6 years of experience in media sales planning, preferably in digital media or publishing.
  • Strong understanding of digital ad products – display, video, branded content, programmatic, etc.
  • Experience in building brand stories and marketing narratives that resonate with advertisers.
  • Proficient in tools like Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Google Suite; familiarity with AdTech tools a plus.
  • A passion for cricket and an understanding of the sports content ecosystem is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical and strategic thinking, and project management skills.
