Sönmez Transformer Company ( STS ) is a fast-growing company in the energy sector. STS manufactures power transformers, special transformers for different applications, and reactors. STS was founded in 1976. Our production plant is located in Dilovasi, Kocaeli and we have an office in Istanbul Anatolian Side. Our current export rate is more than 95% worldwide; our main markets are Central Europe, North America, and Australia.
We are searching for a Sales and Project Enginee r both for our young and dynamic team.
Main Responsibilities
• Manages transformer projects from order to delivery, ensuring timely execution, profitability, and customer satisfaction,
• Coordinates with internal teams (design, production, planning, procurement, logistics, quality) to ensure smooth and efficient project execution,
• Tracks project milestones and follows up on their timely completion using ERP systems,
• Identifies potential risks or delays and proactively aligns with relevant departments to resolve issues,
• Maintains regular communication with customers, providing clear and consistent project update
• Supports invoicing and payment tracking activities,
• Prepares project closing reports, evaluating performance metrics such as profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Conducts customer satisfaction surveys at project closure and ensures feedback is reviewed and acted upon.
• Reviews RFQs and prepares accurate technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirement,
• Leads the sales process from quotation to order, ensuring timely and profitable outcome
• Understands customer needs in depth and offers proactive, tailored solutions,
• Reports directly to the Director of Industrial Projects,
• Contributes to process improvement through lessons learned from completed project.
• Uses ERP systems actively for sales tracking, reporting, and target monitoring.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical-Electronics Engineering,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering, sales or management, preferably in the transformer or energy sector .
• Advanced command of English (written & spoken),
• Proficiency in ERP syst ems and MS Office tools,
• Strong coordination, analytical thinking, and reporting abilities,
• Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong attention to detail,
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Customer-oriented, collaborative team player with a structured and responsible work approach.
