Sales & Proposal Engineer

At Seero Engineering Consulting, we deliver innovative and reliable engineering solutions to the [civil, buildings, and infrastructure] sector. We are looking for a technically-minded Sales & Proposal Engineer to bridge the gap between our engineering team and our clients.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, understanding client technical requirements, and preparing winning proposals. This role is 70% technical writing/proposal coordination and 30% client engagement/sales support.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development (50%)

  • Review client RFQs, RFPs, and tenders to understand scope and requirements.
  • Prepare and compile detailed, compliant, and competitive technical & commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering leads to define project scope, methodology, man-hours, and budgets.
  • Ensure all proposals are submitted on time and meet quality standards.

Sales & Client Engagement (30%)

  • Identify and research potential clients and projects relevant to Seero’s expertise.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, client site visits, and technical clarification calls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct follow-ups on submitted proposals and negotiate small variations.

Technical Support (20%)

  • Assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and man-hour calculations.
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
  • Maintain a library of past proposals, case studies, and standard templates.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in proposal writing, sales engineering, or business development within an engineering consultancy.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of engineering consulting workflows (studies, design, tendering).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (e.g., Dynamics)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scope of work documents.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • A team player who can work across engineering, finance, and management teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
