Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching and Mentoring
    • Onboard and train new salespeople .
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to sales associates to strengthen their overall sales performance and ensure high closure rates .
    • Act as a consultant, providing helpful advice on coping with job-related challenges .
    • Observe and coach sales associate performance daily, including monitoring sales calls for quality and salesmanship .
    • Identify and bridge gaps in performance, productivity, and quality at both the individual and team levels .
  • Training and Development
    • Identify individual and team training needs .
    • Develop and implement effective training plans and educational material, including sales scripts, presentations, and case studies .
    • Design training courses using techniques like role-playing activities, gamification, and job simulation .
    • Set annual learning and development objectives for the sales team .
    • Maintain updated records of educational curriculum and material .
  • Performance Management
    • Evaluate employees' performance after each training session .
    • Work with assigned sales representatives who are currently in or potentially heading into a performance plan .
    • Use an understanding of lagging and leading indicators to identify performance issues and devise customized sales approaches .
    • Improve metrics on sales and closing ratios and optimize sales cycle management .
  • Collaboration and Knowledge
    • Maintain a deep understanding of all products, services, procedures, and policies .
    • Collaborate with call center management and other partners to identify opportunities in sales performance and share best practices .
Requirements And Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Coach, Sales Trainer, or similar role .
  • Experience in a sales or customer service position is a plus .
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, sales processes, and the ability to motivate employees .
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills .
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and critical observation skills .
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field is typically required .
  • Additional training certification is a plus .
