Orthotic Sales Specialist – Job Overview

At Foot Solutions, the Orthotic Sales Specialist helps customers improve comfort, mobility, and overall foot health through personalized footwear and custom orthotic solutions. This role combines retail sales, customer education, and product fitting expertise to deliver an exceptional customer experience focused on wellness and long-term support.

The ideal candidate is personable, goal-oriented, and passionate about helping people find relief from foot, knee, hip, and back discomfort through properly fitted shoes and orthotics.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide personalized consultations regarding foot comfort and support needs
• Assess customer concerns related to foot pain, posture, walking patterns, and footwear fit
• Recommend appropriate footwear, arch supports, and custom orthotic solutions
• Perform foot measurements and assist with fitting shoes and orthotics
• Educate customers on product benefits, proper footwear selection, and foot health
• Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals
• Maintain product knowledge on footwear brands, orthotics, and wellness products
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining store appearance
• Process sales transactions and customer orders accurately

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales, medical sales, wellness, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a consultative sales environment
• Ability to learn foot anatomy, gait analysis basics, and orthotic product knowledge
• Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist customers with fittings
• Experience in footwear, healthcare, fitness, or orthopedic products is a plus

Work Environment
