Sales tax executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sales Tax Executive to join our finance and compliance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling sales tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns across multiple states/jurisdictions.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and filings in compliance with state and local tax laws.
• Reconcile sales tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage exemption certificates and maintain accurate tax records.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities.
• Review invoices and sales transactions for proper tax treatment.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in sales tax laws and rates.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales tax, indirect tax, or similar accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of U.S. state and local sales tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/tax software.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
