We are seeking a confident, people-first Sales Team Leader who can inspire our sales team, lead by example, and turn thoughtful conversations into consistent results, while sharing the Dogtopia mission.

Position Overview: The Sales Team Leader is a hands-on leader responsible for driving lead conversion, strengthening pet parent relationships, and elevating front desk performance. This role works alongside the General Manager and Canine Coach Trainer, modeling best practices, coaching conversations, and influencing daily behaviors that support growth, retention, and an exceptional guest experience. This is a working supervisor role, ideal for someone who thrives on connection, accountability, and positive influence.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Influence

• Lead by example at the front desk, consistently modeling mission-led, relationship-based sales conversations
• Influence and motivate the front desk sales team to confidently connect with pet parents and convert leads
• Reinforce consistent language, tone, and process aligned with the Dogtopia mission and brand standards
• Support the General Manager in driving sales performance, lead conversion, and booking goals

Lead Conversion & Client Experience

• Oversee lead follow-up efforts including calls, emails, and inquiries to ensure timely, thoughtful outreach
• Coach team members on booking meet & greets effectively
• Identify opportunities to improve the guest journey from first inquiry through enrollment
• Handle elevated pet parent questions or concerns with professionalism and care

Coaching & Development

• Provide real-time feedback, encouragement, and coaching to front desk associates
• Support onboarding and ongoing training for new front desk team members
• Help build confidence and consistency across the team through observation and guidance

Front Desk Operations

• Support daily front desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, scheduling, and payment processing
• Ensure accurate client records are maintained in Dogtopia systems
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby environment
• Assist with community events, outreach efforts, and in-store promotions

Requirements

• 2+ years of customer-facing, sales-focused experience (retail, hospitality, fitness, or pet care preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, or lead others in a sales or service environment
• Strong communication skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport
• Comfortable recommending services, overcoming objections, and closing with confidence
• Organized, proactive, and calm in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for dogs and comfort working with dogs of all sizes
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
