Sales/Customer Service

Black Flag Forge offers customers the opportunity to step into the story and become the blacksmith. Black Flag Forge is looking for a driven Sales Associate. This is not a cashier position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about art and can convey that passion to customers in a clear and concise manner. Former sales experience preferred. The Sales Associate is a self-starter who enjoys interacting with guests via both in person and online communication, as well as maintaining records. They should be outgoing, effective speakers and competent writers. This position requires the candidate to become educated in the history of the grand strand and in the basics of blacksmithing. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of the basics of driving business and converting potential clients to guests. Each person who comes in the forge should have an opportunity to say yes to crafting a beautiful piece.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
  • Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions
  • Actively seek out customers in store
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Handle returns of merchandise
  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
  • Build productive trust relationships with customers
  • Comply with and maintain inventory control procedures and records

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Sales representative
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions
  • Familiarity with inventory procedures
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Availability to work flexible shifts
  • High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
