Salesforce Development Lead

What You Can Expect

The Sales Development Lead is the senior technical and functional authority for sales-related technology solutions within the IT organization. This role owns the design, delivery oversight, and optimization of sales platforms and integrations, ensuring they support revenue growth, sales effectiveness, and enterprise governance.
Operating at a manager-equivalent level without direct people management, the role partners closely with Sales leadership, Revenue Operations, Enterprise Applications, Data, and Security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing sales technology solutions.


Work Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in office)

How You'll Create Impact

Sales Technology Strategy & Ownership

  • Serve as the IT domain lead for sales technology platforms and capabilities
  • Own solution strategy, design standards, and roadmaps for sales systems
  • Act as the primary IT advisor to Sales, Commercial, and Revenue Operations leaders
  • Translate sales strategy into scalable technology solutions

Solution Design & Delivery Oversight

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for sales-related initiatives
  • Review and approve functional and technical designs produced by delivery teams
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and data standards
  • Guide prioritization, sequencing, and scope decisions for sales technology initiatives

Platform Optimization & Enablement

  • Optimize sales platforms for performance, scalability, and usability
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvement
  • Support sales productivity, forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, and reporting

Integration, Data & Analytics Leadership

  • Provide design oversight for integrations between sales platforms and ERP, finance, marketing, and data systems
  • Ensure data quality, master data alignment, and reporting consistency
  • Partner with analytics teams to enable dashboards, KPIs, and revenue insights

Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure compliance with ITSM, change management, and SOX ITGC requirements
  • Support audits, data privacy, and security controls impacting sales systems
  • Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to senior business and IT leaders

What Makes You Stand Out

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years total experience in CRM or sales technology domains
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region sales organizations
  • Experience in regulated or SOX-controlled environments
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder)
  • Experience partnering with Revenue Operations or Commercial Excellence teams

Technologies & Tools

Sales & CRM Platforms

  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud required; Service, Experience, or CPQ preferred)
  • CRM configuration and customization (objects, flows, validation rules)
  • Exposure to CPQ, pricing, quoting, and contract lifecycle tools

Integration & Data

  • CRM integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica)
  • ERP integrations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Master data and revenue data concepts

Analytics & Enablement

  • Salesforce Reports & Dashboards
  • CRM analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Einstein Analytics)
  • Pipeline, forecasting, and revenue reporting concepts

DevOps, Security & ITSM

  • Release and environment management (CI/CD concepts)
  • Identity & access management (SSO, role-based access)
  • ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Data privacy and compliance controls (SOX, GDPR where applicable)


Education & Quliafication

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10–14 years of progressive experience in sales systems, CRM, or commercial technology
  • 5+ years in a senior or lead role owning solution design or platform strategy
  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise sales organizations
  • Demonstrated experience influencing outcomes at a manager or senior leadership level
