This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative, scalable marketing solutions that meet our business needs and drive customer engagement. As a key liaison between our marketing and technology teams, the Solution Architect will translate business requirements into robust technical architectures, ensuring our marketing efforts are both effective and efficient.


Required Qualifications and Skills :

Experience:

5-8+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a proven track record in a solution architect or equivalent role.

Technical Expertise:

* In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Contact Builder.

* Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and server-side JavaScript (SSJS) for creating dynamic and personalized marketing assets.

* Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and API integrations (REST and SOAP).

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

A strategic thinker with a proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable technical solutions.

Communication and Leadership Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical designs and justifications to diverse audiences. Experience leading project teams and mentoring other professionals is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with other Salesforce platforms like Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and data visualization tools such as Datorama or Tableau.
  • Proven experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale marketing technology projects from conception to completion.

  • Experience in automobile industry or retailing is a plus.

Certifications:

While hands-on experience is paramount, the following Salesforce certifications are highly desirable and demonstrate a strong commitment to the platform:

Core Marketing Cloud Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer

    Architect-Level Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified B2C Solution Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Data Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architect


Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Architecture:

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, integrated solutions utilizing the full capabilities of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Personalization.

Business Requirements and Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, sales, and IT stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.

Data Management and Integration:

Design and oversee the implementation of data models, data flows, and integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems, including Salesforce CRM and third-party applications. This includes hands-on experience with Data Extensions, SQL, and APIs.

Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide technical guidance, best practices and mentorship to a team of developers and marketing specialists, establishing and promoting best practices for development and implementation.

Customer Journey Orchestration:

Architect and build complex, multi-channel customer journeys that deliver personalized and timely experiences.

Platform Governance and Optimization:

Establish and enforce governance standards for the Marketing Cloud platform to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance. Regularly review and identify opportunities for process improvements and solution enhancements.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Act as the primary technical point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving complex platform issues.
