Associate Software Test Engineer- L1 (Functional)

Responsibilities:

• Requirement gathering and analysis with identification of ambiguities and gaps in requirement
• Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures
• Prepare test plan, generate test scenario, test data and test case associated with functional flow
• Carry out testing as per the defined procedures
• Perform functional testing, smoke testing, integration testing, cross-browser compatibility testing, regression testing and API testing in the assigned environment
• Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
  Report and track quality defects
• Collaborate with project team members for query and defect resolution
• Must be agile in testing approach and ready to take up new challenges
• Ready to adjust work shift as per the project requirements
Demonstrate approach towards technical expertise based on requirement of the project

Skills Required (Primary)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• ISTQB Foundation level certification is a must
• Good understanding of software testing life cycle, defect life cycle and agile methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with the team of business analysts and software developers to find solutions
• Responsible for test estimation, test planning, test documentation and test status reporting
• Ensures test execution results are accurate, thorough and appropriately documented
• Good organizational, troubleshooting and presentation skills
• Must have knowledge about database testing and usage of SQL queries
• Good knowledge about API testing and related tools
Familiarity with test management, defect management and project management tools

• Able to express work fluently and convince stakeholders
• Familiarity with web automation tools/frameworks
• Knowledge about performance testing using the JMeter tool
