Job Summary
The Field Salesman is responsible for promoting and selling tiles products to dealers, retailers, builders, contractors, architects, and construction companies. The role includes market visits, customer relationship management, order booking, recovery follow-up, and achieving assigned sales targets within the allocated territory.
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Market Visits
- Conduct daily market visits to tile dealers, retailers, and construction sites.
- Promote company tile products including
- Ceramic Tiles
- Porcelain Tiles
- Floor Tiles
- Wall Tiles
- Decorative Tiles
- Generate new sales orders and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
Dealer & Customer Handling
- Maintain strong relationships with:
- Dealers
- Shop owners
- Contractors
- Builders
- Interior designers
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate with management for solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Increase product visibility and market coverage.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
Recovery & Payment Follow-Up
- Follow up on outstanding payments and recoveries from customers.
- Coordinate with accounts department regarding customer balances.
Reporting
- Submit daily sales reports and market feedback.
- Report competitor activities and customer requirements to management.
- Maintain records of orders, visits, and collections.
Required Qualification
- Intermediate / Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Sales certification is an advantage.
Required Work Experience
2–5 years field sales experience in:
- Tiles industry
- Building materials
- Sanitary products
- Construction materials
- Experience dealing with tile dealers and construction market preferred.
