Salesman - Frozen Food

Position Title: Salesman – Frozen Food
Department: Frozen Food Section
Reporting To: Section Supervisor / Store Manager

1. Job Purpose

To ensure proper handling, merchandising, and sales of frozen food products by maintaining correct temperatures, stock levels, and high standards of hygiene. The salesman provides excellent customer service and ensures smooth operations of the frozen section.

2. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers with product inquiries and selections.
• Provide product information (brands, packaging sizes, cooking methods, offers).
• Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when needed.

Sales & Merchandising

• Arrange and display frozen products following planograms and department standards.
• Ensure products are properly priced, labeled, and easily accessible.
• Promote ongoing offers, combos, and special promotions.

Stock Management

• Refill freezers regularly to maintain full stock availability.
• Check expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items immediately.
• Assist in receiving frozen stock deliveries and verifying quantities.
• Maintain stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Temperature & Quality Control

• Monitor freezer temperatures and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Ensure proper thawing guidelines are followed (if applicable).
• Maintain cleanliness inside freezers and surrounding areas.

Hygiene & Safety

• Follow food safety standards and hygiene procedures strictly.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of frozen goods at all times.
• Keep the section clean, organized, and free from ice build-up or spills.

Coordination

• Work with inventory controllers during stock counts.
• Support other departments during rush hours if required.
• Report stock shortages, excess, or quality issues to the supervisor.

3. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in frozen food, supermarket, or retail is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of frozen products and food safety.

4. Skills Required

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong product knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in cold environments (freezer room).
• Physical stamina for lifting and organizing products.
• Time management and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
