Job Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for promoting, selling, and achieving sales targets for Eicher and Volvo commercial vehicles. The role involves identifying prospective customers, understanding their transport needs, offering suitable vehicle solutions, and maintaining long-term customer relationships while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for Eicher and Volvo commercial vehicles
  • Identify and develop new customers such as fleet owners, transporters, contractors, and logistics companies
  • Conduct market surveys to identify potential business opportunities
  • Promote new vehicle models, features, and finance schemes

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate vehicle solutions
  • Handle customer inquiries, negotiations, and order closures
  • Ensure timely delivery of vehicles and follow up for customer satisfaction

Product Knowledge & Demonstration

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Eicher and Volvo commercial vehicle specifications, applications, and competitors
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives for customers
  • Explain financing options, insurance, warranty, and after-sales services

Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare quotations, sales orders, and required documentation
  • Coordinate with finance, insurance, RTO, and delivery teams
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records in CRM systems

Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market conditions

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Good understanding of commercial vehicle market and customer needs
  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Result-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM tools)
  • Valid driving license preferred

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Diploma (Any discipline)
  • MBA (Marketing) preferred

Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in commercial vehicle sales (Eicher, Volvo, Tata, Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz, etc.)
  • Freshers with strong sales aptitude may also apply

Job Purpose

To drive sales growth of Eicher and Volvo commercial vehicles by acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts, and delivering customized transport solutions aligned with customer business needs.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesSales Execution

  • Generate leads and convert them into vehicle sales through field visits and referrals
  • Meet assigned sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Pitch Eicher and Volvo commercial vehicles based on application and load requirements

Customer Engagement

  • Develop strong relationships with fleet operators, transporters, and institutional clients
  • Understand customer operations and recommend cost-effective vehicle solutions
  • Handle negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal closures

Product & Brand Promotion

  • Conduct product presentations and on-site vehicle demonstrations
  • Promote brand value, reliability, and total cost of ownership benefits
  • Participate in road shows, exhibitions, and promotional activities

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with finance, insurance, RTO, and service teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Assist customers with loan approvals, documentation, and registration
  • Ensure post-sale follow-up and customer satisfaction

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor pricing, schemes, and market movement
  • Share customer feedback and market insights with management

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate / Diploma (any stream)
  • MBA (Sales/Marketing) is an added advantage

Experience Requirement

  • 2–6 years of experience in commercial vehicle or automobile sales
  • Experience with Eicher, Volvo, or heavy commercial vehicles preferred
