Salon Receptionist

Job Overview
Customer Service position for Fast paced salon looking for upbeat, fashionable individual who enjoys service and sales. Warm and appreciative personality required for serving our upscale clientele. Multitasking abilities a must with client interaction taking place both on the phone and in person, often all at once. Appointment scheduling, product display, retail sales, coffee/wine service are all part of the daily activities. Opportunity for advancement starting from $13 -15 per hour available thru performance reviews. Available position is Evening as well as SATURDAYS. Shift times are 3pm to 8pm weekdays and Saturdays 8 to 4pm. Flexibility is crucial to employment. Although a consistent schedule is offered, you need to remain open to covering other shifts when team members are sick, on vacation or on leave. Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and inviting environment.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls and taking accurate messages.
  • Schedule appointments using salon management software, ensuring optimal calendar organization.
  • Handle client check-in and check-out processes with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including filing and data entry tasks.
  • Support office management duties such as inventory tracking, supply ordering, and record keeping.
  • Demonstrate strong phone etiquette and organizational skills to ensure smooth communication flow.

Experience

  • Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, especially in customer service or reception roles.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and clerical procedures is highly desirable.
  • Proven organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing, calendar management, and time management.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Experience with office management tasks like proofreading, personal assistant duties, and office supply coordination will be beneficial.
