Program: Sandite Summer Reading (FY27)

Sandite Summer Reading (SSR) for qualifying current school year students in grades K-5 is accepting applications for certified teachers (current teaching certificate required) that also have additional certification in approved Oklahoma State Department of Education Science of Reading professional development (certification required) or are a certified Reading Specialist and for qualified paraprofessionals (must have passed ParaPro exam or have qualifying college credits) who will work under the supervision of a certified teacher.

• Student Programming: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Estimated Work Hours: 7:15 AM - 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, plus plan time
• Program runs from June 1, 2026, through June 25, 2026
• Planning meetings are scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026, and Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Positions Available:

Lead Certified Teacher - $30.00 hourly

Responsibilities: Provide summer learning and academic enrichment in reading for students in grades K through 5, including assistance for students in small group instruction/tutoring, providing a safe environment, and other duties, as assigned.

Certified Teacher - $25.00 hourly

Responsibilities: Provide summer learning and academic enrichment in reading for students in grades K through 5, including assistance for students in small group instruction/tutoring, providing a safe environment, and other duties, as assigned.
