Sandwich Artist/Cashier

Duties

• Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and other food items following company standards for quality and presentation
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, adhering to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
• Assist with food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, bussing tables, and ensuring proper food storage practices
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurant environments is required; culinary or café experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for efficient transaction processing
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math applications
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Experience in retail math or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
