Duties

• Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Operate POS systems such as Square to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food handling duties including bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Follow all sanitation protocols related to kitchen experience, food industry regulations, and restaurant best practices.
• Support team members with food preparation tasks in the café or retail environment to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for upselling are essential.
• Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or grocery store settings will help you excel in this position.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly valued.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
