Job Summary

Rae’s Café is seeking a dependable and energetic Sandwich Maker / Food Prep Associate to join our team in a busy corporate café setting. The primary responsibility of this role is preparing high-quality sandwiches and deli items for our daily lunch service. This position also assists with meal prep, salad bar stocking, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and deli items according to recipes and customer requests
• Slice meats, cheeses, and vegetables using commercial food service equipment
• Prep ingredients for daily café operations
• Assemble and package prepared meals for grab-and-go service
• Stock, maintain, and refresh the salad bar throughout service
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper portion control
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries as needed
• Support other café team members during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous deli, sandwich shop, café, restaurant, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and food presentation
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Food safety knowledge a plus

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift
• 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (for Full-Time)
• 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM (for Part-Time)

Pay: $20–$25 per hour based on experience
