Duties

• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, ovens, and food processing machines safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature controls to guarantee food safety and quality
• Use basic math skills to measure ingredients accurately and manage portion control
• Support food production processes by monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a focus on food safety practices
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques such as baking and food processing
• Mechanical knowledge of kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, and food processing machines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes
• Valid food industry certifications or willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire (e.g., Food Safety)
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive motions safely
