Sanitation Lead – 3rd Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $20.00-24.00/hour
(Schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs.)

Position Summary

The Sanitation Lead is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product quality in a USDA‑regulated food manufacturing facility. This role oversees the proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and facility areas while ensuring compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of food safety and product quality through effective cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and facility areas.
  • Disassemble and reassemble manufacturing equipment for thorough cleaning.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Properly understand and safely use cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
  • Remove waste from production rooms and dispose of it according to plant procedures.
  • Clean both production and non‑production areas.
  • Perform cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, foaming, hand‑scrubbing equipment, walls, and floors.
  • Comply with all OSHA, plant safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior sanitation experience required; safety experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
  • Ability to work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
  • Ability to wear required protective clothing and equipment, including safety shoes, masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard nets, and gloves.
  • Willingness to follow all grooming and hygiene requirements for a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and other variable environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work in environments where food allergens may be present.
