SAP ABAP / ABAP on HANA Consultant

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a ⁠⁠⁠SAP ABAP / ABAP on HANA Consultant for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test ABAP applications to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and other objects.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP related issues.
Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability, particularly in HANA environments.
Work with SAP HANA features such as SQL Script, CDS views, and AMDPs.
Develop and consume OData services for integration with other systems.
Participate in system upgrades and enhancements.
Provide technical support to end-users.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP ABAP and HANA technologies and best practices.
Manage small to medium-sized development projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Strong understanding of ABAP programming concepts and techniques.
Experience with SAP HANA development, including SQL Script, CDS views, and AMDPs, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in debugging and performance tuning ABAP code.
Experience with different ABAP technologies is a plus.
Knowledge of OData services and RESTful APIs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
