Job Description: Job Title: Senior SAP HR Technical Consultant (ABAP) - S/4HANA Years of Experience 8-12 years overall SAP ABAP experience, with strong SAP HR/HCM technical delivery experience (S/4HANA preferred) Role Summary We are looking for a Senior SAP HR Technical Consultant to lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of SAP HR technical solutions on an S/4HANA platform. This role requires strong hands-on ABAP skills, the ability to translate HR business needs into robust technical solutions, and ownership of delivery quality across the development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development and customization of SAP HR solutions using ABAP in an S/4HANA environment.Drive technical solutioning: partner with business analysts, HR stakeholders, and functional consultants to gather requirements, define technical approaches, and estimate effort.Design and deliver HR technical objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and data conversions.Implement enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and follow clean-core and reusable design principles where applicable.Ensure strong quality delivery via unit testing, integration testing, defect management, and support for UAT and deployment activities.Own production support for HR technical components: troubleshooting, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and preventive fixes.Create and maintain technical documentation (technical specs, design documents, interface specs, test evidence, and operational/runbook documents).Guide junior developers through code reviews, technical coaching, standards adherence, and best practices.Ensure compliance with security, authorization, and data privacy requirements due to sensitive HR data. Required Skills & Qualifications 8-12 years of strong SAP ABAP development experience (including debugging, performance optimization, and OO ABAP).Proven experience delivering SAP HR/HCM technical solutions; exposure to PA/OM/Time/Payroll is preferred.Experience working in S/4HANA landscapes (HANA-aware development; performance considerations).Strong hands-on experience with enhancements (BAdIs/User Exits/Enhancement Framework).Experience with integration approaches such as IDoc, BAPI, RFC, file-based interfaces, and middleware exposure (CPI/PI/PO) is a plus.Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work across business and technical teams. Nice to HaveExposure to SAP Fiori / OData, CDS views, and/or modern ABAP for S/4HANA patterns.HR forms experience (Adobe Forms / SmartForms).Knowledge of HR data concepts (infotypes, personnel structures) and authorization concepts relevant to HR.Experience leading small technical workstreams/end-to-end deliverables.
