Primary Purpose:


SAP Ariba Lead Technical Analyst – Supply Chain Systems is a role that reports to the Senior Manager Solution Architect Procurement CoE and works cross-functionally with procurement, accounts payable, vendor master and treasury teams. The role encompasses implementation, Manage Ariba Configuration workbooks, changes, and expansion of SAP and Oracle and other ERP applications, the Johnson Control’s designated procurement application. This role is responsible for the support Global Procurement Applications, working directly with key stakeholders to support the Procurement Applications, Supply chain Collaborations, Supplier Life Cycle Performance, Supplier Governance ensuring priorities and needs of the business are met. As a member of this team, you will serve as part of the center of excellence for Global Procurement.


What will you do?

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Project Definition and Execution

  • Lead and manage projects.
  • Execute the load of Ariba configuration workbooks.
  • Build the Ariba workflows to support any testing through environments into Production.
  • Based on JCI requirements for new fields, JCI Custom requirement or SAP Ariba Standard features, complete the Business Requirement Document for delivery to SAP Ariba and work with SAP Ariba to get the fields configured and validated.
  • For Ariba B&I and guided buying, support all testing phases (Functional Unit Testing / System Integration Testing / User acceptance Testing / Smoke testing and others as needed), ensuring preparation is in place to execute and support the Go-Live
  • Support resolution for any test issues or defects that arise for Ariba B&I and Guided Buying.
  • Perform quality testing and document the results while adhering to global standards.
  • Define Plan and execute all maintenance elements of Ariba Platform
  • Review the Ariba Release notes and provide process improvement for the Business processes and recommendation of CIG upgrade requirements.


Cross Functional Teamwork

  • Working closely with Procurement business community and other IT groups, to deliver work packages on-time which meet the business requirements.
  • Acting as global advisor for complex development activities within the IT (SAP CoE and Oracle CoE).
  • Develop definition of recommended steady State Support Model and support Hypercare.
  • Support the Procurement Architect to define a steady state support model and support Hypercare for 1 month (or as scheduled) post Go-Live.
  • Partnering with other areas of IT such as Global business Owners, SAP Business Partners, SAP CoE, Oracle CoE and divisional Finance Shared Service Organizations (SSO’s), Global Shared Service Organization (GSSO), site local support staff and Procure to Order and Procure to Pay business users.


What we look for?

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or Business
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an IT role developing, configuring and implementing the applications
  • Experience leading small-medium size project teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP Ariba, SAP MM and SAP FI Applications and understanding of Source to Pay & Supplier Managed Inventory Process
  • Proficiency in
  • API & SAP web service development & configuration
  • Ariba CIG related configuration
  • IDoc / ALE configuration
  • SAP MM and FI configuration
  • Self-motivated to research and learn new technologies such as SAP Ariba, FIORI/HANA/UI Addon, NWBC, EDI.
  • Excited to work in a Global Environment with different levels of the Organization.
  • Work location can be US/Mexico/Ireland


PREFERRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years in one or more of the following Technologies / SAP Modules.
  • SAP Ariba Applications.
  • SAP ECC and SAP S/4 configuration (MM).
  • Preferred MDM / Vendor master data knowledge
  • Ability to understand and fully utilize features and functionality of various technologies to fix and establish new methods and procedures and to improve business processes.
  • IT or Business work experience in Supply Chain area is desirable.
  • Business presentation skills strongly desired.
  • Flexible team player who can work in a global organization.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Spoken.
  • High level of expertise in Excel
  • Ability to work independently.
