SAP BDC Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP BDC Developer to lead analytical initiatives and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing analytic applications, dashboards, and data models using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, and SAP BDC. The ideal candidate will drive automation, integration, and advanced analytics to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop analytic applications, interactive dashboards, and KPI models using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere for both import and live scenarios.
  
• Connect, model, and harmonize data from SAP and non-SAP sources within SAP Datasphere.
  
• Build scalable, governed data models to support advanced analytics and reporting requirements.
  
• Customize SAC applications using JavaScript and other scripting languages.
  
• Orchestrate data automation processes in Datasphere to improve efficiency and data usability.
  
• Continuously optimize dashboard and application performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend enhancements.
  
• Drive the adoption of predictive analytics, R visualizations, and external libraries for enhanced user experience.
  
• Integrate SAC and Datasphere with SAP HANA and other databases.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable analytics solutions.
  
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to best practices in analytics development.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years in a Senior Developer or SAP SAC/Datasphere-focused role.
  
• Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and delivering SAC reporting and analytics solutions.
  
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP BDC for data management, integration, and automation.
  
• Advanced knowledge of SAC predictive features, Smart functionalities, story canvases, data blending, and linked analysis.
  
• Experience in developing governed data models in SAP Datasphere.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and JavaScript for dashboard customization and automation.
  
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA XSA, SAP Web IDE, Eclipse, HANA Studio, Git, source code version control, relational databases, and SQL concepts.
  
• Experience integrating SAC/Datasphere with SAP HANA and non-SAP databases.
  
• Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) is preferred.
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
