Job Description – SAP FI Solution Architect (8–10 Years)
Role Summary
The SAP FI Solution Architect will lead the design and evolution of Finance solutions with a strong emphasis on custom development, integrations, and finance-specific enhancements across SAP ECC and S/4HANA. The role requires deep accounting knowledge combined with the ability to design, govern, and validate FI-related developments in complex enterprise landscapes.
This is a hands-on architecture role for finance platforms that continuously evolve through CRs, regulatory changes, and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Own SAP FI solution and development architecture across implementation and enhancement programs

Design finance solutions spanning:
- General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting
-
Tax, Bank Accounting, Financial Reporting
-
Lead custom development design for FI, including:
- Custom postings, validations, substitutions
-
Enhancements for document posting and clearing logic
-
Regulatory and statutory reporting developments
-
Define and review functional and technical designs for:
- FI-related RICEFW objects
-
CDS views for finance reporting and analytics
-
OData services for downstream consumption
-
Drive S/4HANA Finance extensibility, including:
- Universal Journal–based reporting extensions
-
New Asset Accounting enhancements
-
Clean Core–compliant customizations
-
Own integration architecture with:
- SD (billing, revenue accounting)

MM (GR/IR, LIV enhancements)
-
Treasury, tax engines, external finance systems
-
Partner with ABAP and data teams to ensure performance, reconciliation, and auditability

Lead defect resolution for complex FI issues during SIT/UAT and Hypercare
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as:
- Month-end close acceleration
-
Automation and error handling
- Finance data quality improvements
Required Skills & Experience
-
8–10 years of SAP FI experience with strong development and enhancement exposure

Deep understanding of FI exits, BADIs, and posting logic
-
Hands-on experience designing custom reports, interfaces, and validations

Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance data model (ACDOCA)

Experience working in Big-4 or large-scale SAP development programs
- Ability to bridge finance, technology, and audit requirements
Good to Have

Exposure to Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Advanced Financial Close

Experience with automation, reconciliation tools, or compliance reporting
- Agile / DevOps delivery exposure
