Overview
The SAP MM/WM & LE Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and Logistics Execution (LE) modules in ECC. The role involves gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP modules, and ensuring smooth logistics and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements in Procurement, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Logistics Execution.
- Configure MM (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Release Strategies, Pricing, Vendor Master, Material Master, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification).
- Set up and maintain Warehouse Management (WM) processes:
- Warehouse structure (Storage Types, Bins, Sections).
- Putaway and picking strategies.
- Transfer Orders (TO), Transfer Requirements (TR).
- Handling Unit Management.
- Configure Logistics Execution (LE) processes:
- Inbound delivery and outbound delivery.
- Shipping point determination, picking, packing, and goods issue.
- Integration with SD, MM, and WM modules.
- Work on interfaces with 3rd party logistics systems (3PL, RF devices, scanners, barcoding).
- Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide end-user training and documentation.
- Support cutover activities, data migration, and post-go-live hypercare.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI/CO, SD, PP, QM) for integrated solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inbound/Outbound Logistics, and Warehouse processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of SAP experience in MM, WM, and LE within ECC environments.
- Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, and Logistics Execution processes.
- Hands-on expertise in warehouse structures, stock placements, picking strategies, and delivery processing.
- Experience with batch management, serial number management, and stock transport orders.
- Familiarity with IDocs, ALE, and EDI integrations for logistics execution.
- Strong knowledge of integration points with FI/CO, SD, PP, and QM.
- Ability to handle support, enhancements, and full-cycle implementations.
- Good communication and client-facing skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-docking, wave picking, and yard management.
- Exposure to SAP WM to EWM migration projects.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (MM, EWM, TM) for future roadmap alignment.
