Responsibilities
- Lead the SAP Retail & POS module implementation (S/4HANA Public Cloud or On-Premises).
- Configure and support retail master data, pricing, promotions, article management, merchandise hierarchy, and store operations.
- Implement and manage POS integration with back-end ERP for real-time sales, stock, and financial postings.
- Coordinate with finance and controlling teams to ensure accurate revenue, discounts, and tax accounting.
- Define and implement store replenishment, stock transfers, and intercompany retail flows.
- Support retail-specific processes: assortment planning, markdowns, trade promotions, gift cards, loyalty programs.
- Provide end-user training to retail and store operations staff.
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and work with ABAP/Integration teams.
- Monitor and resolve POS-related incidents, ensuring 99.9% uptime and smooth sales operations.
- Ensure compliance with local taxation, invoicing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., e-invoicing, VAT).
- Collaborate with external auditors and business teams during system audits and cutover planning.
- Conduct system testing (SIT, UAT) and ensure sign-off from business owners.
- Prepare blueprint, configuration documents, and end-user manuals.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP Retail & POS experience, preferably in multinational FMCG, retail, or distribution industries.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Retail (MM, SD integration) and POS middleware (GK POS, CAR, or similar).
- Experience with S/4HANA Retail is a must; exposure to SAP Fiori apps for retail is an advantage.
- Proven track record in at least 2 full-cycle SAP Retail & POS implementations.
- Excellent understanding of retail store operations (pricing, promotions, returns, settlement).
- Good knowledge of integration with Finance, Inventory, and Warehouse modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in multi-country rollouts.
