SAP Supply Chain Managment (MM/IM) Lead

Accenture is seeking a hands-on SAP MM/IM Lead to drive the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Inventory Management (IM) processes within a major SAP transformation program. This role will focus on procurement, inventory control, material valuation, goods movements, and integration with Finance (FI) and Ariba to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP MM/IM workstreams, including procurement processes, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, and physical inventory processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather requirements, optimize procurement and inventory workflows, and ensure integration with Finance and Ariba systems.
  • Configure and validate material master, vendor master, valuation classes, stock types, and movement types.
  • Oversee testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for MM/IM processes.
  • Support data migration, cutover planning, and reconciliation of inventory and procurement data.
  • Track, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration or integration issues, escalating critical defects as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of process flows, MM/IM configurations, reports, and test outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on SAP MM/IM best practices, process improvements, and compliance with procurement policies.
  • Actively participate in workshops, governance meetings, and project reviews to ensure timely, high-quality delivery and stakeholder alignment.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in SAP MM/IM implementation, configuration, and management, with a focus on procurement and inventory workflows.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP certification is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong expertise in SAP MM/IM modules, including material master, vendor master, valuation classes, stock types, and movement types.

    • Proficiency in procurement processes, inventory control, material valuation, and goods movements.

    • Experience with integration of SAP MM/IM with Finance (FI) and Ariba systems.

    • Hands-on experience with testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.

    • Knowledge of data migration and cutover planning for inventory and procurement data.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address system and process challenges.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead workstreams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement policies, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing SAP implementation projects, including testing, deployment, and support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in MM/IM modules.

  • Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation programs.

  • Knowledge of global supply chain processes and compliance requirements.
