SAT/ACT Part-Time Instructor

Bright Pine Academy is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time SAT/ACT instructor to join our team in Round Rock, TX.

We are looking for an educator who not only understands standardized test content, but also knows how to guide students with clarity, encouragement, and purpose. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, dependable, and confident in helping students build stronger academic skills, better test strategies, and greater confidence over time.

Our academy has developed an online testing system that allows instructors to track student performance and teach more effectively based on real data. We are looking for someone who can use those tools well and provide focused, high-quality instruction in both individual and small group settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach SAT and/or ACT preparation classes in person
• Support students in reading, grammar, writing, math, pacing, and test strategy
• Use our online testing system to review results and identify each student’s strengths and areas for improvement
• Provide targeted instruction based on student performance and goals
• Foster a focused, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
• Assign and review practice work and communicate instructional observations as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong command of SAT and/or ACT content
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learners
• Professional, punctual, and dependable
• Strong communication skills and a caring, student-centered approach
• Comfortable using technology and data to support instruction

Preferred

• Previous SAT/ACT teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience teaching middle school and high school students
• Familiarity with score analysis and test-prep planning
• Strong background in ELA, math, or both
