Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key liaison between SEER Central and its partner companies, fostering strong relationships to support the adoption of HR best practices while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws. This role provides day-to-day HR support across a range of functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, leave administration, HRIS (Paycom) support, and most importantly employee relations.
As a trusted resource for our brand partners, the HR Generalist plays an integral role in promoting a positive employee experience and supporting operational HR needs. In partnership with the Regional HR Manager, this role also contributes to the execution of platform wide HR initiatives, training, and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who balances empathy and professionalism, and who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions
E Review and maintain accuracy of Paycom in coordination with partner companies.
E Assist with benefit implementation, open enrollment, and administration.
E Oversee HR administration and accuracy for partner companies.
E Assist in administering leave: FMLA, WA PFML, CA PFL and other state leave programs via Absence Plus.
E Create and provide HR related forms and other items to partner companies.
E Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict free workplace.
E Help ensure compliance with labor regulations, federal, state and local employment laws.
E Process brand partner payroll in Paycom.
E Maintain confidentiality at all times.
E Serve as HR backup for partner companies when needed.
N Other HR related duties as assigned.
Work Hours
This is an exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business.
Competencies
This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. General knowledge of human resources principles and employment laws. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ideal candidate would be self-motivated, proactive, problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and requests at once. Must be highly organized and have good mediation skills.
Education and Experience
This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of previous Human Resources experience. Requires a Highschool Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University preferred. State employment law knowledge. Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers’ license.
Work Environment
In office. (Rotation between brand partner locations.)
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
Supervisory Responsibility
None. All issues should be reported to the Regional HR Manager.
Travel
Required travel to brand partner locations based on business needs.
