SCT Chemicals is seeking a skilled and proactive SCADA Operator to support our production and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing SCADA systems to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee SCADA systems to ensure continuous monitoring and control of plant operations, including production processes, inventory movement, and dispatch activities.
- Monitor alarms, system alerts, and operational parameters to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to SCADA systems, including communication faults, alarms, and equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinate with maintenance and IT teams for timely resolution.
- Log system incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Ensure minimal disruption to production and logistics activities.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, warehouse managers, field technicians, and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration and workflow optimization.
- Conduct routine inspections and health checks of SCADA hardware and software.
- Support preventive maintenance planning to reduce downtime.
- Utilize SCADA data to monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and generate reports to support operational decision-making.
- Provide training and guidance to plant and warehouse personnel on SCADA system usage and basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a SCADA Operator, preferably in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and process flow diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and respond effectively to system alerts.
