SCADA & RTU Engineer

Job Overview:

Nayatel in collaboration with Hunarlink is seeking an experienced SCADA & RTU Engineer for their client. This role will focus on the design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and RTU (Remote Terminal Units). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SCADA & RTU system engineering and the ability to manage complex systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA & RTU systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of SCADA & RTU systems with other automation and control systems.
• Develop databases, classes, HMI displays and dashboard graphics at SCADA system, along with Application and Logic narratives in RTU systems.
• Ensure SCADA & RTU systems are configured for real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and control of key parameters.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to SCADA & RTU systems, ensuring continuous and efficient operation.
• Implement advanced features for data visualization, alarm management, and real-time reporting to optimize operations and ensure compliance with international standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and senior engineers, to provide updates on systems performance and progress.
• Document system designs, configurations, procedures, and system architecture to ensure compliance and facilitate future upgrades.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualification & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in SCADA & RTU system engineering.
• Proven expertise in the design, configuration, and implementation of SCADA & RTU systems for largescale projects, including both hardware and software components.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment and liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in SCADA & RTU software tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., SCADA & RTU HMI, dashboards) for real-time monitoring, reporting, and alarm management.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve system design and implementation related issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
