Scaffolding Inspector / Supervisor

Port Said, Egypt

Role Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting all working platforms above ground level for any defects and verifying Scaff Tags on newly erected scaffolds.

The role also involves:

  • Reviewing and

    approving scaffold designs

    in complex situations, including:
    • Offshore over-side scaffolds
    • Scaffolds above 15 meters
    • Hanging or suspended scaffolds
    • Slug scaffolds
    • Scaffolds with loading over 250 kg/m²
    • Lifting gantries
  • Creating scaffold drawings and design layouts

    where needed, to reflect safe erection or dismantling plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant international standards (

    OSHA

    ) and referencing them appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable regulations and technical practices for working at height (reference documents attached in the tender package).
  • Engage proactively in all scaffolding activities on site.
  • Collaborate with the site HSE team to establish and maintain a scaffold activity register.
  • Assist the HSE team in inspecting scaffolding materials and equipment based on the company's CMMS system or equivalent.
  • Conduct training for scaffolding personnel and maintain accurate training records.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of

    seven (7) years

    of experience in scaffolding inspection and design.
  • At least

    three (3) consecutive years of proven hands-on experience

    in a similar supervisory or inspection role.
  • Holds a

    B.Sc. degree

    in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.

Must hold a valid certificate (issued within the last 5 years) from at least one of the following recognized bodies:

  • STI

    – Scaffold Training Institute
  • CITB

    – Construction Industry Training Board (

    Advanced Level

    )
  • CISRS

    – Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (

    Advanced Level)
