Open Door Health Services is seeking a full-time Scheduler at 333 S. Madison St. in Muncie, Indiana.
Overview
As an Open Door Scheduler, you will be part of a supportive, interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, compassionate support to individuals and families. Schedulers perform a variety of patient focused duties including answering incoming calls, directing calls, scheduling patient appointments, and confirming patient appointments. You will work closely with medical staff and to ensure flow and accuracy of scheduling meets patient and clinic’s needs.

Location
This position is located at 333 S. Madison St. After successful training, this role does have potential for hybrid remote work.
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Handle scheduling responsibilities including answering multi-line phones, entering patient data, and managing provider schedules in the EMR system.

Coordinate patient appointments (scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling) to support smooth clinic operations.

Follow insurance guidelines, communicate scheduling issues to management, and document patient concerns for clinical staff.

Maintain strict patient confidentiality while supporting overall clinic goals of improving community well-being.

Exercise strong communication, organization, customer service, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

Telephone and contact center experience necessary.

Medical office experience is a plus.

Physical And Environmental Requirements

Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment.
