Surgery Scheduler

Join our Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center in Glendale, California, known for high patient satisfaction and exceptional quality of care. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to support our growing surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
• Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, hospitals, and clinical staff to ensure smooth scheduling workflows
• Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and scheduling software for documentation and tracking
• Confirm appointments, provide pre-operative instructions, and ensure all surgical requirements are completed
• Manage front desk responsibilities including answering phones, responding to emails/faxes, and greeting patients
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office, surgical practice, or healthcare setting required
• Proficiency with EMR systems and medical scheduling software
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures preferred
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
