FSU Libraries is excited to announce several student assistant openings across multiple locations and service areas. Whether you are interested in working directly with library patrons, supporting technology services, or contributing to a unique museum environment, we have an opportunity for you. Current openings are available in the following areas:

Scholar Support Desk:

Positions are available at Strozier Library, Dirac Library, the Engineering Library, and the Heritage Museum in Dodd Hall.

Scholar Support Desk assistants provide circulation services, including lending technology, study supplies, physical collection materials, and study room reservations. Additional responsibilities include:

• Assisting with in-library pickup and Curbside Delivery (available at Strozier only)
• Responding to basic reference and research questions
• Helping scholars navigate library services such as printing and general inquiries
• The Heritage Museum position also includes providing information about FSU's history and campus to museum visitors

Technology Support Desk:

Positions are available at Strozier Library.

Technology Support Desk assistants:

• Help patrons troubleshoot technology and media-related questions
• Maintain knowledge of all circulating technology and equipment
• Assist with inventory and record-keeping for circulating technology and virtual catalogs on the library website
• Contribute to special projects across Access Services and Delivery
• Participate in collaborative team brainstorming sessions

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Scholar Support Desk: Customer service experience/skills
• Technology Desk: IT and/or graphic design experience

Scholar Support Desk: Hours offered are determined by your availability within our operating hours which are:

Strozier:

• Sunday 12pm-12am
• Monday – Thursday 8am-12am
• Friday 8am-7pm
• Saturday 10am-6pm

Dirac:

• Sunday 1pm-9pm
• Monday- Thursday 8am-9pm
• Friday 8am-5pm
• Saturday 10am-6pm

Engineering:

• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• Heritage Museum:
• Monday – Friday 10am-6pm

Tech Desk: Hours offered are determined by your availability within our operating hours which are:

Strozier:

• Sunday 12pm-10pm
• Monday-Thursday 10am-10pm

$14 per hour.
