Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate School Age Teacher to join our team! In this role, you will create a vibrant and supportive classroom environment for school-aged children, designing engaging lesson plans that promote learning, social skills, and independence. Your enthusiasm will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored for school-aged children that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • Support children’s overall development by applying principles of childhood development and early intervention strategies.
  • Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment using standardized testing when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or additional support.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently to maintain a secure environment for all children.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, attendance, and developmental milestones to track each child's progress.

Skills

  • Strong background in curriculum development with experience in early childhood education and preschool settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and school-aged students.
  • Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Experience in lesson planning across multiple subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring practices to support student achievement.

Hours during the school year will be 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. School breaks and summer hours will be full-time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
