Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool and school age children, incorporating early intervention strategies, literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
  • Lead engaging classroom activities that promote childhood development, social skills, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment by applying child welfare best practices and ensuring adherence to daycare and childcare regulations.
  • Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing individualized attention to facilitate learning and growth.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques and consistent routines.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through clear communication about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments—including standardized testing—and progress reports to track developmental milestones.
  • Facilitate early childhood education activities that enhance literacy skills, numeracy understanding, and physical development aligned with Montessori or other educational philosophies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that supports literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and working with students who have diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children.
  • Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; Montessori certification is a plus.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate classroom management best practices while fostering a joyful learning environment.
