We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Aged Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic and social development of school-aged children. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and special education programs.
- Design engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and social skills.
- Manage classroom environments effectively to foster positive behavior and ensure safety.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and encourage respectful interactions among students.
- Support children with early intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.
- Incorporate Montessori, preschool, or daycare methodologies to enhance early childhood education experiences.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations.
- Provide tutoring or additional support to students requiring extra assistance in subjects like literacy or math.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop comprehensive educational plans that support child welfare and development goals.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, and instructional best practices.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or daycare environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with Montessori methods or preschool experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Certification or licensure in early childhood education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
- Passion for fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes child welfare and academic success.
- Hours of availability = Split shift 7-10 am and 2-5 pm 6 hrs a day
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
