ABOUT DRAGONFLY CARES

Dragonfly Cares is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping children with autism and developmental differences thrive. We deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy where it matters most - in homes, centers, schools, and communities across Long Island. Our team of compassionate professionals are united by one goal: meaningful progress for every child and family we serve.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Dragonfly Cares is seeking reliable Registered Behavior Technicians(RBT) and Behavior Technicians(BT) to join our team in a paid, on-call position providing school coverage to students receiving ABA services. Coverage providers will be scheduled 6am-9am Monday through Friday on an on-call basis and will be compensated at $17/hour while on call. If called in to cover a case, the technician will report to the assigned school and provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support to a student for the full school day at a higher active service rate. This role is ideal for flexible, dependable professionals who enjoy working in a school setting and are available to step in and support students when coverage is needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Be available on-call M-F between 6am-9am to accept same-day school assignments

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support under BCBA supervision during full school days

  • Follow individualized behavior intervention and support plans

  • Collect and record accurate data on behavior and skill progress

  • Maintain detailed and professional documentation per school and agency standards

  • Participate in supervision and ongoing trainings to strengthen your clinical skills

Dragonfly Cares provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, veteran status, or any other protected status. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree is psychology, special education, or a related field (preferred)

  • Minimum of 1 year of ABA experience (preferred)

  • Previous school-based or special education experience

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental delays

  • Reliable transportation to different school districts across Nassau & Suffolk counties
