Schedule: Monday–Friday (School‑Day Schedule)

This role allows you to provide meaningful, evidence‑based care directly within local schools, eliminating barriers to access and meeting students where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Sign‑On & Retention Bonus

Available for eligible external candidates (amount based on licensure and experience):

  • Master’s Level: $4,000
  • Fully Licensed: $5,000
  • A critical‑need allowance may also apply

Position Overview

Are you driven by purpose and passionate about helping students thrive? As a School‑Based Therapist, you’ll deliver high‑quality mental health services that support emotional regulation, resilience, and skill development—helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

You’ll partner closely with families, educators, and community resources to create a strong support network around each student. Whether you’re a newer clinician looking for strong mentorship or an experienced therapist seeking meaningful work in a supportive environment, this role offers impact, balance, and professional growth.

What We Offer

✅ Competitive Compensation

  • LSW / LPC (IL): $61,000–$64,000

  • LCSW / LCPC (IL): $68,000–$72,000
    (Based on licensure and experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy to students during the school day

  • Maintain an active clinical caseload in alignment with agency standards

  • Deliver prevention and early‑intervention services to reduce barriers to learning

  • Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Utilize evidence‑based interventions with students and families

  • Collaborate with school staff, families, supervisors, and community partners

  • Serve as a liaison between students, schools, and behavioral health services

  • Coordinate referrals to internal and external community resources

  • Respond to crisis situations and provide timely emotional support as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Active or provisional Illinois licensure (LSW, LPC, LCSW, or LCPC)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of DSM‑based diagnostic criteria
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation, caseload management, and compliance standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and school personnel
  • Comfortable working independently while engaging in supervision and feedback
