Foster Dual Language PK-8 is an Option School that provides a unique opportunity that brings together Spanish and English speaking students in an effort to develop full bilingualism in both groups. Students have the opportunity to learn a second language without compromising their first language or academic learning. Our Dual Language program supports the development of the three pillars of Bilingual education: bilingualism and biliteracy, high academic achievement, and socioculturalcompetence.

The successful new hire or rehired candidate will be responsible to complete and incur the fingerprinting and processing fee of $54.50 through an appropriate fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
SUMMARY Support the Club Leader in planning and conducting a variety of activities for elementary school students. Help maintain a safe, engaging, and positive environment for students; while aiding in program operations, student supervision, and behavior management. May step in when the Club Leader is absent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Assist in setting up, running, and cleaning up after activities. Help engage students in club activities, ensuring they remain focused and involved.
Aid in the supervision of students to ensure safety and a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
Promote positive behavior and enforce school rules. Address behavioral issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive experience for all students.
Assist in tracking accurate student attendance and maintain necessary records.
Ensure all activities comply with school policies and safety guidelines. Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols.
Ability to step in and act as the Club Leader in the absence of the Leader.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience supervising groups of students.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or GED required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS: None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Capable of managing groups of students, keeping them engaged and motivated in a variety of activities. Able to manage conflicts or behavioral challenges in a calm, constructive manner. Strong verbal communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision (with corrective lenses). Must be able to direct or lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.
MENTAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to read, interpret, follow, and instruct others on safety rules. Demonstrate mature judgement in exercising appropriate supervision and expectations of students.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily working inside and around an elementary school. Typical elementary school building may also contain libraries, computer labs, and kitchens. May be exposed to outside elements during activities.
