1. Student Guidance and Counselling
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to address academic, emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.
- Help students develop coping mechanisms, stress management skills, and positive self-esteem.
- Identify students facing difficulties and provide timely interventions or referrals to specialists if needed.
2. Academic and Career Support
- Assist students in goal-setting, time management, and study techniques.
- Guide students on academic choices, career planning, and subject selection.
- Conduct career awareness sessions and coordinate aptitude/interest assessments.
3. Emotional and Behavioral Support
- Address bullying, peer pressure, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues sensitively.
- Work with teachers and parents to manage behavioural concerns in classrooms.
- Implement social-emotional learning (SEL) programs and mental wellness initiatives.
4. Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate counselling insights into classroom strategies.
- Engage parents through regular meetings, workshops, and progress updates.
- Liaise with psychologists, therapists, or external agencies for specialized support.
5. Preventive and Developmental Programs
- Organize workshops on topics such as mental health, substance abuse prevention, and digital well-being.
- Conduct life skills sessions and value education programs.
- Promote an inclusive, empathetic, and respectful school culture.
6. Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain confidential student counselling records.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for school leadership when necessary.
- Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
