School Counsellor

The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counsellor to join our educational team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the mental health and academic success of our students by providing guidance, counselling, and resources tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities: - Provide emotional and psychological support to students facing academic, social, or personal challenges. - Develop and implement individual and group counselling programs to foster student well-being. - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to identify and address student needs effectively. - Conduct assessments and referrals to external professionals when necessary. - Promote awareness and education about mental health and wellness within the school community. - Maintain confidential and accurate records of counselling sessions and progress. - Stay updated with best practices in school counselling and relevant educational guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field; Master's preferred. - Proven experience as a school counsellor or in a similar role within an educational setting. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds. - Knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health issues. - Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism. - Familiarity with local cultural norms and regulations in Saudi Arabia. - Fluency in English - A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to student welfare.
