School Female Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within our school community and providing essential medical care to students and staff. The successful candidate will collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Develop and implement health education programs for students, staff, and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of student health information.
• Collaborate with school administrators and community healthcare providers to address health-related issues and promote a healthy school environment.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Monitor students with chronic health conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, school policies, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Valid CPR Certification.
• Valid DOH/HAAD License or Eligibility Letter is an advantage.
• Previous experience working in a school, pediatric, or community healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and staff members.
• Commitment to promoting health, safety, and wellness within the school community.
