EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR

COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$68,300 (Bachelor’s - Step 1) to $84,300 (Master’s - Step 6)

The Rose Tree Media School District seeks a dynamic and student-centered Middle School Librarian who is passionate about fostering a love of reading, teaching research and information literacy skills, and creating an inclusive, welcoming library environment for all students. We are looking for an educator who brings energy, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous growth. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional knowledge of adolescent and young-adult literature and is driven to build positive relationships with students. This full-time, contracted position is available for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree
• Active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Library Science
• Ability to promote a culture of reading through book talks, displays, and programming
• Ability to curate an engaging, diverse, and developmentally appropriate collection
• Willingness to partner with other teachers to support curriculum and instruction
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
