SCHOOL NURSE

Greenville Consolidated School is seeking a compassionate, student-centered, and highly organized School Nurse to support the health, safety, and wellness of our students and staff. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting a healthy learning environment while collaborating with families, staff, and community healthcare providers.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff
• Assess and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries
• Administer medications and maintain accurate health records
• Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans
• Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health regulations
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, medical providers, and school personnel
• Support health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA, HIPAA, and district policies
• Participate in emergency response planning and school safety procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Maine Department of Education School Nurse Certification (524) preferred or ability to obtain
• Experience working with children or within a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
